Stop Taking Yourself Too Seriously

Some people get in the way of themselves in life. They get in the way of their own happiness, joy and satisfaction in life. They also get in the way of true enjoyment and even finding love. They do this, many times, by taking themselves too seriously.

Taking oneself too seriously can range in severity from mild to extreme. On the mild end of the range it can be getting frustrated or angry at yourself when you make a mistake or something just doesn't go the way you wanted it to.

In the middle range, it goes further where you dwell on it longer and it can effect your mood or general disposition. You might also put unreasonable expectations upon yourself and as a result of not fulfilling them, you become unhappy and your health can suffer. [Read more...]

Many people spend years and years, sometimes their whole life, acquiring materialistic possessions. Sometimes they feel that the more they have the better. There are some that even have a hard time getting rid of the things that are no longer working or are useful to them.

Stop the Hate

People are speculating and have so many theories and opinions about this tragedy, that can make ones head spin. However, when you think about it on a deeper level, the root cause of this horrible tragedy and many other horrific tragedies and world violence is Hate. Whatever way you like to say it, whether Hate or Hatred, it's the cause of so much negativity and violence existing in the world. [Read more...]

Today's tragic bombings in Belgium are for sure,  a reminder of how precious our lives are and of how short life can be.  It's also a sad reminder that there just isn't enough love and kindness in this world.
