Status Doesn't Make You Better Than Others

Should a person's status make them feel superior to others? Is a CEO superior to a Landscaper, Bartender or Housekeeper? Is the Royal Family better than the rest of us? If we are poor, are we inferior to a billionaire? Should people be treated differently because they are of a different status?

The reality is that nobody is superior to others. Nobody is better than (or less than) someone else, because of their social or professional status- Period! We are all equal.

We've each been on our unique life journey. We've all been exposed to various factors and opportunities that others may have not been exposed to and vice versa. Who has the right to feel that they are superior to another person just because they have higher professional or social status? A person who lives from paycheck to paycheck is no less of a person than someone with great wealth and an executive job position.

At some point or another in our lives, we've all been made to feel inferior to someone else in some way. It could have been while growing up or even very recently. It could have been in school or in the workplace. We all remember how terrible it made us feel.

What someone may not have in terms of social or professional status, they may possess a greater degree of character, satisfaction or more True Joy in life. On the other hand, someone who is wealthy and with high social status may be lacking inner happiness.

When we pass on, we don't bring any of our status with us. It all stays here. What does pass on with us is the cumulative effect of all of the good (and not so good) that we have done for others while we were alive.

It's important to realize that we are all human beings and nobody is superior to anyone else. People should all be treated equally as fellow human beings- with hearts and minds and a lot to offer to the world.

Now just imagine how much greater the world would be, if nobody felt they were superior to others and we were all just One in this world.
