Melbourne, Australia
Hello everyone, here's a sampling of my photos from our time in Melbourne. It's another beautiful city that's definitely a must see if you make it to Australia.
There's definitely a different vibe about Melbourne from Sydney which gives it it's own special character. When we were there, it showered a little bit each day, but the sun always managed to come out as well. We never lost any time at all from sight seeing and exploring all of the gems of the Melbourne area.
We strolled through the streets of Melbourne and our friend Rob showed us all of the government buildings, the beautiful architecture including Collins Street and the Gothic Bank. Its amazing how knowledgeable he is of the history of Melbourne. We really got to live the way the locals live. It was also a lot of fun to sample the various delicacies.
The view from the Eureka Sky Deck was a site to behold. It was great to get a sky view of the entire city of Melbourne and the neighboring towns.
One day, Rob took us to the wine country in the Yarra Valley to a few wineries which definitely left us wanting to drink more Aussie wines. Too bad that the cost to ship bottles to the U.S. was a bit too expensive in order to buy as many bottles as we had wanted to.
As you can see, Melbourne is also perfect whatever the weather may be. I'll be posting some photos from the Animal Sanctuary and Manly Beach in the coming weeks.
